This Mother's Day...help another mother.
These are challenging economic times, leaving many mothers struggling to feed and clothe their babies. No matter what the reason, their little one is an innocent victim of circumstances. But there is something you can do to help.
Do you remember a time in your life when you were given a helping hand? Now it can be your turn to help. By simply extending a hand through the work of Infant Crisis Services, you can have that affect on someone else’s life.
This Mother’s Day when you honor the mother in your life, you can help another mother in need. Each time you contribute a minimum of $10 to Infant Crisis Services we will send a Mother’s Day card on your behalf, informing the recipient of your generous gesture. Won't you please help today?

Stats
In a month, Infant Crisis Services fed and diapered 1,008 babies and toddlers. 347 were less than seven months old, 371 were over 12 months and 80 were between 7 to 12 months. 645 of the mothers/fathers who came to get services were single parents and 252 were married. Out of the 1,008 only 138 had jobs.
We don't ask why people are in the situations they are in. Sometimes they offer up the information and share their story, but at the end of the day the reason we exist is to help the babies. Those 1,008 babies got to go to bed with a full tummy and a dry tushie.

Take a moment to say a few kind words...
The volunteers had their monthly luncheon last Friday and Debi shared this story with everyone. You never know when the words you say can affect some one's heart. Today say a kind word to a friend or help a stranger...you never know how much it might mean to that person.

Monday's Baby, Norman
Monday's baby is Norman. He is 8 months old with bright blue eyes and always a smile on his face. Norman just started growing hair and his mom says she is not sure if it will be blond or red. She also told me just the other day she looked over to she him pull himself up. Now Norman is trying to straighten his legs to take those first steps.
